FREE and discounted measures to help generate and save energy in your home – from Council backed scheme “HEEP”. Funding is limited… Don’t miss out.

The energy efficiency scheme Herts Essex Energy Partnership (HEEP) offers grants, interest free loans and discounts to homeowners and private tenants in Hertfordshire and some Council areas in Essex to help generate and save energy.

Councillors from the Partner Councils met recently to show their support for HEEP over the final months - as the scheme comes to an end, this coming March.

Funding is limited, so it is important local residents know what help they can receive from their council backed scheme; HEEP.

For example homeowners and private tenants in receipt of qualifying benefits such as child tax credit (total max household income £20,000) could receive measures such as FREE replacement boilers, FREE renewable technologies such as solar electricity, FREE insulation for solid walls and FREE cavity wall and loft insulation.

Homeowners and private tenants who do not receive qualifying benefits can benefit from 50% interest free loans for solid wall insulation and renewable technologies and discounted loft and cavity wall insulation for £49.

Funding is limited, so it is important that all residents in the Council areas belonging to the HEEP Partnership know what help is available to generate their own energy and save energy in their home.

HEEP has saved enough CO2 to fill 491,220 double decker buses

Since being launched in July 2009 HEEP has completed around 3,500 installs; saving around 86,179 tCO2 lifetime savings - that is enough CO2 to fill 491,221 double decker buses.

Due to the success of the project funding is now limited so to make sure you don’t miss out on free or discounted energy saving measures call the Herts Essex Energy Partnership now on 0800 980 6026 or visit www.heepgrant.org.uk
